You can also travel to Xanthi by Airplane. Near Xanthi there are 2 airports. One in Kavala and one in Alexandroupoli. Kavala’s airport is named Megas Alexandros and will find it under the abbreviation KVA. Alexandroupoli’s airport is named Dimokritos, also know as AXD.

Kavala’s airport is the one closer to the city of Xanthi, it’s only 35km away and you will find it really easy to travel from there to the city centre.
Alexandroupoli’s airport is 112km. away from the city of Xanthi and its an 1 hour drive to the city.
